"The salmon was excellent" said the most unusual eater in the household! He is a ginger guy who lives in a room on his own because he doesn't like other cats, and we have 20 others at our shelter. He has unusual eating habits, being a true child of nature. Basically, he does the "life in the jungle" thing that a few cats do, which is to guzzle, and I mean guzzle his food, climb somewhere high up and well out of the way, then regurgitate it to eat in safety and at his leisure. This may seem horrid to us, but a few cats still have the genetic tweak that causes it, a problem to us, but not a problem to them. The trick is to slow him down eating, also making sure he doesn't feel threatened by other cats. We press the food down in the dish to make it harder to eat quickly, but we also give him the salmon Purina, because while he loves it to bits it has a somewhat more rugged texture (salmon chunks or fibres - are larger) than some of the other flavours like cod for example. It's all in the chewing! Good enough to be well worth chewing before swallowing, it may be a scary thing to watch with the extra tooth work, but it is great for characters who like walks in the woods on a harness and tree (or curtain) climbing. Enthusiastic chewing is wonderful for us too, as it means lots less cleaning - probably the less said about the curtains before we discovered this trick the better!

Strangely my cats seem to like this but not the twice as good variety with salmon.

Both cats clear plates when put down suggesting they enjoy the taste.

A few of my cats choose salmon and nothing else!Why ? Probably because of a better taste. I’m happy seeing them well fed.

FAGAILs is the food my fussy eater will have.  Thank goodness there are plenty of flavour choices. He waits patiently for the food to appear in his bowl, and just seems to enjoy eating it.

Having three cats if one decides they don't fancy it the others eat it, so can't complain

This salmon flavour is a favourite with our two cats. The food is good quality, not super smelly and our cats love it. We always buy the food in the build your own bundle and this flavour is always on the list! 

We like to give the cats a bit of variety with different flavours most nights. Sometimes we put a dish of each flavour out, and it is a bit like giving them a selection box because different cats have different favorite flavours. The boxes always arrive in good condition and the pouches are undamaged during postage. One cat, who we named Sam, is so mad about the pink Salmon pouches that he has learnt to open them - yes, it can be done, though it takes strength and a good deal of skill. He bites into the top and then kicks the pouch with his back legs until it rips, then he holds the pouch licking and nibbling the contents. We have to keep them in a locked room! Be warned!
